susan ringel: HIGHGREEN109Maybe you are more poetic however I think you understand my point. I respect and admire those who remain faithful to their beliefs, their paths and do so without violence. If you find yourself in need of trying to deny another persons truth then maybe your are really just trying to justify your own. Belief comes from the heart, and the ability to have faith is a hard path but those who I have met and known who fall into that category are enriched, kind and curious individuals. There is no right or wrong on the journey. Ghandi was no less spiritual as an individual than Father Epps but he spread a word or faith, belief and peace. He never spoke a word telling another that what they believe was wrong. I am also as you say "dumb" but I do know what I feel, key words being I feel and hope "you feel" what is in your heart and follow that path. I only wish that for all and to do so in peace without the need to diminish others. susan ringel: Repugnant responeQuite the contrary; he is entitled to his belief system and his values but to place judgement on other belief systems is in fact a disgrace. susan ringel: RepugnantThe only thing I find "repugnant" about Father Epps point of view is him; that someone with his supposed enlightenment that is held in "high regard" of responsibility should lead him to such a pompous, arrogant and "unenlightened" view point. |
