The bride, escorted by her father, wore a princess A-line ivory satin gown with a strapless sweetheart neckline, highlighted by crystals and sequins on the bodice and a chapel train. She carried a bouquet of white lilies, blue delphiniums and daisies.
Sarah Hamler of Snellville was the maid of honor. Angela Jones Mabe, sister of the bride, was matron of honor and Jeremy Watson of Savannah was man of honor. Mike Lawson of Auburn was the best man. Hardy anniversary
Rex and Kathryne Hardy of Fayetteville recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary, surrounded by family and friends. The Hardys were married Aug. 4, 1944, in Elba, Ala.
Residents of the Atlanta area since 1968, the couple moved to Fayetteville two years ago. Mr. Hardy worked in the construction industry and Mrs. Hardy was an educator and a guidance counselor.
Their children include Kathy Farris Hardy of Richmond, Va., Kimberly Hardy-Johns of Roswell, and a son-in-law, Nathan Daniel Johns of Hawkinsville. The bride-to-be was graduated from McIntosh High School in 1999 and the University of Alabama in 2003 with a bachelor of science degree in nursing. While at the University of Alabama, she was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. She currently works as a registered nurse in the emergency department at Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
The groom-elect was graduated from Clinton High School in 1999 and the University of Alabama in 2003 with a bachelor of science in commerce and business administration. While at the University of Alabama he was a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity. He is employed as an assistant manager with the Walgreen Corporation in Bellevue, Tenn.
An August wedding is planned at the Carter Presidential Center. After a honeymoon in Jamaica, the couple will reside in Thompson Station, Tenn.
