Santa will take his annual stroll through the Main Street Fayetteville shopping district Saturday, stopping by retailers for a sip of cider. He will also be on the Courthouse Square between 10 a.m. and noon to visit with children and pose for pictures.

This is the second year for the “Holiday Open House” sponsored by downtown merchants and the Main Street group. The morning begins with a Santa Breakfast at the Holiday Inn Express and follows with a day of leisurely shopping.

Sherri Anderson, director of the Main Street program, said there will be a drawing for three Christmas collectible ornaments on the square at noon.

The handsome brass decorations depict the Courthouse, Starr's Mill and the Depot.
