Author Peter Lord will lead revival services at Fayetteville First Baptist Church this weekend

Fayetteville First Baptist Church will hold revival services Sunday through Wednesday, Nov. 14-17, featuring minister and author Peter Lord as guest speaker.

Sunday services will be held at 8:25 a.m., 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Wednesday services are scheduled for 7 p.m.

“Peter Lord is one of today's pastor teachers,” a spokesperson said. “In demand as a speaker in churches and at conferences across the nation, he has ministered to thousands, challenging them to growth and maturity in their Christian walk. His call and gift from God is teaching on the Christian's inner life.”

Lord's first book, “The 2959 Prayer Plan,” dealing with the believer's personal prayer life, has sold over 500,000 copies and has been translated into four languages.

Lord pastored the Park Avenue Baptist Church in Titusville, Fla. for 30 years. He was born in Kingston, Jamaica, British West Indies and educated in private school there. He came to the United States to attend college and seminary, and graduated from New Orleans Seminary.

Lord and his wife, Johnnie, have five children and nine grandchildren.
