Sizeable wins for county football teams

The weather was a little cooler last Friday, but the action in the third week of high school football was hot. Starr's Mill and Sandy Creek hosted games while McIntosh and Fayette County played on the road. As the season gets closer to the midway point, each game takes on much more significance.

County gives good shows at cross country meets

There were two fairly large cross country meets last weekend. They were both large in talent and large in size. Fayette County, Sandy Creek, and Landmark Christian all traveled to run in the Carrollton Invitational, while McIntosh and Starr's Mill ran in the Marist Double Dip Invitational.

Tennis center adds star to staff

Managers of the Peachtree City Tennis Center believe there is always room for improvement.

Local youth punt, pass, kick their way to NFL

More than 30 participants between the 8 and 15 took part in the NFL Punt, Pass and Kick competition at McCurry Park in Fayetteville. The competition allows youngsters to showcase their talent in punting, passing and placekicking, with the focus on distance and accuracy.
