Lt. governor to help
honor Cheif Krakeel Georgia Lt.
Gov. Mark Taylor will be among dignitaries on
hand to honor Jack Krakeel, Fayette director of
Fire and Emergency Services, on his day next
week.
Fayette
County commissioners today are expected to
declare Sept. 8, next Wednesday, Jack Krakeel Day
in the county in honor of Krakeel's being named
Fire Chief of the Year by the International
Association of Fire Chiefs.
A
reception is planned 5 - 8 p.m. at the County
Administrative Complex, and dignitaries will make
their remarks at 6:30. The public is invited.
Along
with Taylor, state fire marshal L.C. Cole and
Charley English, director of operations for the
Georgia Emergency Management Agency, will be
present.
