The Board of Directors of Heritage Bank recently announced the appointment of Jack Bowdoin as president of Heritage Bank of Fayette County.

“The bank is delighted to have a person of jack's banking and business experience leading our operations in Fayette County,” said Heritage Bank CEO David Turner.

Bowdoin started his banking career in 1971 and served as president of Citizens Bank in Fayette County from 1990 to 1995. From 1995 to 1998, he owned Precise Packaging in Griffin and served most recently as executive vice president of United Bank of Griffin.

“I am excited to return to Fayette County and to be a part of the leadership team of a community bank like Heritage Bank,” Bowdoin remarked. “I look forward to again participating in the many cultural and civic organizations that are available in Fayette County.”

Heritage Bank is a $192 million community bank with offices in Fayette, Henry and Clayton counties.

•  Regions Bank president Mark Kearsley and the board of directors recently announced the addition of Daniel Vano as vice president-commercial lender.

“Dan's extensive experience in the banking industry is a real asset to our bank,” said Kearsley. “As we grow and diversify, we are always searching for the right individuals to contribute to our success, while at the same time maintaining our personal touch with the customer.”

Vano started his banking career in 1986 with the C & S Bank in Milledgeville. Later, he served for four years as a financial examiner with the Georgia Department of Banking and Finance.

He also served as a commercial lender with Columbus Bank & Trust Company in Columbus where he specialized in Small Business Administration lending.
