A golf cart accident last week in Peachtree City resulted in two injuries and a citation.

According to police, two female juveniles were riding in a cart about two-tenths of a mile south of Shakerag Hill, near Bridle Path Lane in the Glenloch Village area, when the accident occurred at about 2:41 p.m. last Wednesday.

The driver of the cart lost control going down a hill and into a curve. The cart turned over before coming to a final upright position.

The driver was taken by Phoenix Air to Atlanta Medical Center, where she was treated for head injuries. The other passenger was taken by the Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services to Fayette Community Hospital.

There were no other carts or people involved in the accident. Neither of the names of the injured persons were released.

The driver was cited for underage operation of a golf cart.
