Thursday nights used to be the nights you sat down and watched NBC's Must See TV lineup.

The television season is now over and you don't know what you'll do for excitement. Atlanta Motor Speedway has a solution: The Thursday Thunder Series.

Thursday Thunder will bring the six divisions of Legends car racing to the track every Thursday night from June 10 to Aug. 12.

There will be riders from pro, semi-pro, masters, chargers, young lions, and bandoleros divisions racing for points in the 10-week battle.

Legends cars are forms of stock cars with motorcycle engines. This type of racing has inspired all sorts of athletes and celebrities to enter, like football greats Troy Aikman and Herschel Walker. It is a very attractive form of racing because it is fairly inexpensive and very fast-paced and exciting.

Gates open at 6 p.m, with heat races beginning at 6:30 p.m. and feature races starting at 7:45 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and $1 for children between 6 and 11. Children under 5 are admitted free.
