Southern Regional set to honor its auxiliary

Southern Regional Medical Center is hosting the 28th annual celebration and installation banquet for its auxiliary tomorrow at the Atlanta Airport Marriott.

“This annual event is our opportunity to thank all the wonderful people who volunteer their time to make Southern Regional a better place,” said Gene LeBlond, president and chief executive officer of Southern Regional Health System.

Since 1995, Southern Regional volunteers have contributed more than 98,000 hours of service. Not only does the group provide countless hours of service; they also make financial contributions to the medical center.

Since 1995, the auxiliary has raised and donated $450,000 to expanding and improving Southern Regional. This year, the auxiliary will present a $100,000 check, which will be used for the new Women's Life Center.
