Biking for Life riding strong They say that you never forget how to ride a bicycle. It must be true because the Fayette Biking for Life club continues to grow within the community. Over the past month, the group has biked to work on National Bike to Work day and to Atlanta Braves games with other biking clubs from the metro Atlanta area. Along with planned events within the Bike There program, the Fayette Biking for Life club goes on club rides throughout the region several weekends a month. The group was formed by Carleton Williams, an active member of the Fayette County community. The club offers classes periodically and has different levels of trips for the different levels of riders within the club. During the Bike to Work event, Williams and other members rode 29 miles from Fayetteville to Woodruff Park in Atlanta. The strength of Fayette Biking for Life and other groups like it is that they unite with positive groups as well as each other. The Bike to Work event was sponsored by the Atlanta Bicycle Campaign, the Southern Bicycle League, and The Clean Air Coalition of Metro Atlanta. Through their actions, a positive goal is reached annually by thousands of riders. The Fayette Biking for Life club meets fourth Thursdays at the LaFayette Learning Center in Fayetteville.
