Real Estate Scene...

-- Century 21 Scarbrough Properties announced that Steve Wallace has joined the organization as partner and associate broker. Wallace has over 25 years experience in residential sales and lending. He is a graduate of Atlanta Regional Commission's Leadership Institute. He is also the former chairman of the Fayette County Board of Commissioners, Atlanta Regional Commission Executive Committee, Atlanta Regional Commission Transportation Committee, and Chairman of Fayette County Water Committee.

-- Gina Duffee received the Most Improved Employee Award at Griffin Financial Services' annual recognition breakfast. She is a loan processor in the company's Fayetteville office.

-- Joe Satterfield has joined the staff of Coldwell Banker Bullard Realty's Newnan/Coweta County office as a sales associate. Satterfield, who has been in real estate with Star Properties Realty for the past 10 years, is retired from the State of Georgia. He is a member of the Metro South Association of Realtors.

-- Charles Kimbell is a new loan officer with the Fayetteville office of Griffin Financial Services. Kimbell has a background of 15 years in customer service and in dealing with the public.

-- Prudential Georgia Realty's Peachtree City office welcomes Merry Holley to its team of real estate agents. During her 16 years with AT&T, Holley received numerous awards, including the Presidents Club Award, which honors the top 2 percent of the entire sales force.

-- Ben Stephens, assistant vice president and branch manager for HomeBanc Mortgage Corporation's south Atlanta branch, led the branch in mortgage originations in 1998 and was recognized for his acheivement with a Diamond Award at the Mortgage Bankers Association of Georgia Annual Awards Banquet on March 11. The Diamond Awards are given to mortgage bankers who close more than $20 million during a single year. Stephens closed $31.39 million in mortgages last year and was also placed in HomeBanc's top 15 mortgage originators for 1998. Mortgage banker David Morris also won a Diamond Award at the event. Tom Green and Debbie Veal, both mortgage bankers, took home Gold Awards, which are given to those who close between $12 and 14.9 million.

-- Patricia D. Scott is a new sales associate with the Clayton County office of Coldwell Banker Bullard Realty.

-- Irene Schoene of Re/Max Around Atlanta All Stars received the Active Life Phoenix Million Dollar Club Award. She has been a Million Dollar producer for 15 years. In 1995, she was installed into the Re/Max Hall of Fame. She has been in real estate for 21 years.

-- Bobby Stamps has joined the marketing staff at Coldwell Banker Bullard Realty's Newnan/Coweta County office. Stamps, who is an associate broker, has been in real estate for 25 years. He is a resident of Moreland.

-- Gene Reynolds, broker/owner of Re/Max Pride, was the recipient of the 1998 Re/Max of Georgia Top Commerical Sales Associate Award.

-- Nicki Halstead is a new sales associae with the Butts County Office of Coldwell Banker Bullard Realty.

-- Julie Smith, sales associate with Coldwell Banker Fulton Realty has been awarded the Accredited Buyer Representation designation by the Real Estate Buyer's Agent Council of the National Association of Realtors. Smith is affiliated with Coldwell Banker Fulton Realty in Peachtree City.

-- Century 21 Scarbrough Properties announces the addition of several new agents who have joined the firm as sales associates: Jane Williams, Sandy Cruder, Jennifer Dodds, Linda Sholar, Melanie Starr and Ramona Malcolm. These agents have all completed extensive training with the Metro Listing Service and Century 21-Southeast Region. Century 21 Scarbrough currently has ov er 40 agents serving the real estate need of South Fulton, Fayette and Coweta counties.

-- Susan Clowdus of Coldwell Banker Bullard Realty's Henry County office was named one of the Top 10 Sales Associates in the Southeast Region in three categories during the awards presentation at Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corporation's annual International Business Conference. In the Southeast Region rankings, Clowdus was #3 in Buyer Controlled Sales, #5 in Closed Revenue Units, and #10 in Listings Sold. Clowdus is a member of the Ten Million Dollar Club, and she has twice been a member of the Coldwell Banker International President's Elite.

-- Dana Padgett is a new sales associate with the Newnan/Coweta County office of Coldwell Banker Bullard Realty. Padgett has been in real estate for 11 years, working five years as an assistant to a multi-million dollar producer and six years as an office manager. Her pre-licensing training was through the Georgia Institute of Real Estate. She has been named to the 1999 Who's Who of Professional Management (International).

-- Jim Lauzon with Southern Brokers in Newnan, has been awarded the designaton Real Estate Innovator (REI) by Realty Publishing. The REI designation is given to a select group of real estate professionals who offer extraordinary service to homesellers.

-- P. Gail King is a new sales associate with the Henry County office of Coldwell Banker Bullard Realty. King, who received her training through the Real Estate Academy, worked in real estate in Henry County for three years during the early 1990s.
