Your March 31 edition contains an article that our Fayette County Commissioners once again flout the law by violating the "Sunshine Law." Seems like it does little good to vote in new commissioners who just continue what the previous commissioners were doing. Even, worse, they seem to think that it is just fine to grin, giggle, wink and continue violating the law. They make the excuse that by admitting the violation that everything is OK. Also, what is Fayette County law enforcement doing? Like an ostrich, they are sticking their heads in the sand and ignoring these violators. Although they are sworn to uphold the laws, they are not doing their job. This is selective law enforcement at its finest. I call for the immediate resignation of those commissioners present at this "executive session" as well as prosecution of these violators to the fullest extent of the law. If we can't handle this locally, as the law prescribes, I intend to ask for a full investigation by the Attorney General of Georgia. The public's business must be discussed in accordance with the law. John H. Regan
