The Town of Tyrone, along with the Tyrone Kiwanis Club, Tyrone Elementary School, the Tyrone Garden Club, the Tyrone Rotary Club, local citizens, Scouts, businesses and clubs, will be participating in "Earth Day in Tyrone" April 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event has been scheduled in conjunction with "Let's Keep Georgia Peachy Clean." Participants are encouraged to bring shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows and lots of energy.

The Tyrone Kiwanis Club will sell a limited number of Earth Day t-shirts. Sizes Small to 3X Large will be available for $10-$13. Proceeds will go toward a community beautification project.
