Plans for a possible restaurant at Falcon Field in Peachtree City will be among the items scheduled to be discussed at next Wednesday's regular monthly meeting of the city's Airport Authority. A pair of companies, PRAD Construction and Group VI Corporation, have submitted proposals to build a restaurant in the Aviation Center. Another proposal is under consideration from Winsox Ltd. to operate the eatery. Airport Director Jim Savage said the project, if approved, could be underway very quickly. A proposal is being presented by Andrew Conwell for the construction of "runway remaining" markers. Conwell is making the request for an Eagle Scout project, Savage said, and is gathering the necessary funds for it. "He approached us and asked if we would erect it if he built it,"said Savage, who added that the markers, which sit off to the side of the runway and indicate how many feet of runway are left, are often seen at military installations but are not required at Falcon Field. "It would be a nice thing to have," he added. The Authority will be considering its operating budget for the second half of the fiscal year. Savage said that structuring the budget six months at a time has been typical for the facility. Also on the tentative agenda, Ken Justice and some other airport tenants are scheduled to be on hand expressing their concerns about the costs of maintaining their own facilities at the airport.
