The Fayette County 4-H will sponsor a competition for all fifth grade students who wish to demonstrate a particular skill or interest Thursday, March 18, between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. at a location to be announced.

First place winners will represent the county at a regional competition in Marietta May 1. All regional participants will receive a free trip to White Water Fun Park on the afternoon of the May 1 competition.

Demonstrations may be on any subject the students are interested in. Some examples of categories are endangered species, cooking, nutrition, sports, interior design, communication, photography, performing arts, etc. A complete list of categories is available from the Fayette County Extension Service, 770-460-5730, ext. 412.

Participants must register by March 11 by calling the Extension Service. There is no charge.
