Amanda Lambert, 16, a starting guard for the Sandy Creek Lady Patriots, was found dead at her parents' home last Friday morning, according to Tyrone Police Chief Roger Spencer.

Spencer confirmed that police responded to a call from the Lambert home on Candle Lake Road, but would not release a cause of death. He said that toxicology reports from the state crime lab are pending.

Lambert averaged nine points a game for the basketball team and had her best game of the year, scoring 20 points, against Starr's Mill two weeks ago.
