Time capsule being prepared for 2048

In mid-February, members of Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will be moving into the new Family Life Center. As part of the celebration, a time capsule will be sealed, not to be opened until 2048, the church's 200th anniversary.

The capsule will be placed behind a plaque in the wall of the Family Life Center.

In return for a $25 donation to capital funds, members will be able to include up to five 8x10 pages of personal, timely or creative material directed to the future congregation or friends and relatives. Material may include writings, poems, newspaper clippings, photographs, drawings, words of inspiration, and favorite Bible verses and Scripture.

The special time capsule envelopes are available to members now through February. For details, call the church office at 770-461-4313.
