Frank Love will take his revised plan for Jeff Davis Plantation subdivision back to the Fayette County Planning Commission Thursday night. Love's request for approval of a revised preliminary plat for phase four of the subdivision was turned down by the County Commission Dec. 10. The plan would require extending a cul-de-sac from the subdivision's third phase and adding land to thep roject that wasn't part of the original plat. Residents said they bought their homes based on the original plat, and they opposed the change. "You'll be setting a dangerous precedent," warned Mary Shaver of Winding Way. Also, commissioners said extending the cul-de-sac at the end of Antebellum Way would set a bad precedent. Love is seeking to add 21 acres to the subdivision and build 18 homes. Because the land is already zoned R-40, a category that would allow one-acre lots, Love can bring the request back to county officials every month if he wants to. There is a six-month waiting period after rezoning requests are rejected, but no such restrictions on plat changes.
