*The Body of Christ Christian Church will host an annual "Watch Night Service," Dec. 31. The community is invited to ring in the new year with the church beginning at 9 p.m. Holy Communion will be observed. Also a children's ministry will be provided. The church is located at 1000 Kenwood Road in Fayetteville. For more information, call the church office at 404-763-1700.

*"Bring one for the chipper," Jan. 9 at participating locations from 9a.m.-4 p.m., sponsored by Keep Fayette Beautiful. Bring your old Christmas tree to one of six recycling centers in Fayette County and receive a hardwood seedling as a thank-you gift. Locations to recycle are: Home Depot, 103 Pavilion Parkway in Fayetteville; Peachtree City Recycling Center, Ga. Highway 74 and Rockaway Road in Peachtree City; Harp's Farm Market, 1692 Ga. Highway 92 South in Fayetteville; Dorothea Redwine Park, Byewood Lane in Tyrone; Kroger/Kedron Village Shopping Center, 1101 Peachtree Parkway North in Peachtree City; and Fayette County Transfer Station, 221 Manassas Mile Road in Fayetteville (there will be no seedlings at this location).
