Kiwanis Art and Talent
Show applications
available, auditions set

Applications are available for the 14th annual Kiwanis Art and Talent showcase, scheduled for Feb. 8 at the Willie Dukes Auditorium, Starr's Mill High School Complex. Showtime is 7 p.m.

All auditions for the talent part of the showcase will be Feb. 6, also at the Starr's Mill High School Auditorium. Audition times will be as follows:

Grades 1-2 : 9 a.m.

Grades 3-4 : 10 a.m.

Grades 5-6 : 11 a.m.

Grades 7-9 : 1 p.m.

Grades 10-12: 3 p.m.

The deadline for talent and art applications to be turned in is Jan. 25. All talent applications must be turned in to the Fayette County Bank located on Crosstown Rd. in Peachtree City.

All art entries must be turned in directly to the Peachtree City Library. Artwork will be judged on or before Feb. 3, and finalists' work will then be on display at the library until the showcase. No application forms will be collected from the schools this year.

Cash prizes will be awarded once again for first through fourth place. A total of 20 acts will be chosen from those auditioning to compete in the talent showcase Feb. 8 at 7 p.m. in the Willie Dukes Auditorium, Starr's Mill High School. Application forms are available at all Fayette County Schools, Fayette County Bank and the Peachtree City Library.

Winners in the A category (10-12th grades) will be eligible to compete at the statewide level of the Kiwanis Art and Talent Showcase, March, 27, 1999, at Agnes Scott College.
