Fludd will be good for schools

Letters from Our Readers

We are sure that you are aware of the important elections coming up on Nov. 3. One of the most important races this year is the selection of new board members for the Fayette County Board of Education. You know, as well as we do how important it is to have people on the Board who care about students, teachers, staff, and parents. We encourage your support for someone we believe has these issues at heart Carolyn K. Fludd

We have children who attend North Fayette Elementary and have seen Carolyn's efforts first hand. She has worked with teachers, bus drivers, administrators and other staff members to resolve issues and make improvements for the students. She has been very involved in the Fayette County schools for the past three years and has taken an active role as PTA President for the past two years. Carolyn has shown to us her ability to bring people together for the sake of helping children.

Carolyn has a good grasp of the issues and concerns of Fayette County residents, mainly because she has taken the time to listen. She has heard from teachers, parents and students that their concerns include: selection of the next superintendent, redistricting and growth, reducing class size, discipline, safety and technology. Carolyn has had experience managing a business, solid project management skills, is a good communicator, and is dedicated to helping all the students in the county.

We believe that Carolyn is very capable of handling the duties and responsibilities of the School Board. We urge you to join us in supporting her by voting for Carolyn K. Fludd on Nov. 3.

Shirley and Lee Haney
