PTC Christian store holds grand opening

Fayette County's newest Christian store, Olive Branch in Peachtree City, is celebrating its grand opening Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a live, remote broadcast by 93.3 The Joy FM's new morning DJ and program director, Jerry Williams. There will be contests, refreshments and music and book specials. The store is at 118 Peachtree East Shopping Center, next to Publix on Ga. Highway 54 East. Owners Rick and Susan Harrell also own Sonrise Christian Bookstore in Fayetteville and The Ark in Newnan.

Liberty Hill A.M.E. turns 135

Rev. Andrew Young III, pastor of Flat Rock A.M.E. Church in Fayetteville, will be the guest speaker Sunday at Liberty Hill A.M.E. Church in Sharpsburg's 135th anniversary celebration. Pastor of Liberty Hill is Rev. Frederick Forsh; the service begins at 3 p.m.

Billy Graham surfs the 'Net

Internet users locally can experience a live youth concert Saturday hosted by evangelist Billy Graham. As part of a four-day crusade in Tampa Bay, the "Concert for the NeXt Generation" will take place from 7-9 p.m. featuring Christian artists Jars of Clay and dcTalk. Following the bands' sets, Graham will deliver straight talk from the Bible. Live audio and video will be broadcast on the Internet at www.billygraham.org, and the program will continue to be available online through next week.

His House holds Jesus video weekend

This weekend at His House Community Church, see the spirit-filled video, "Jesus," used by Campus Crusade for Christ all over the world. The family event is free, and a nursery and refreshments will be offered. Showings will be Friday and Saturday at 6:30 p.m., and Sunday at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday evening is "youth emphasis night." Singles gathering for Saturday event

Music, fun, fellowship and dinner will all be part of the community-wide singles event being held from 6-9 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of Peachtree City. Fayetteville First UMC cooking out Sunday

Members of Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will meet at the YMCA PlayPark from 4-7 p.m. Sunday for the church's annual cookout, featuring food, fellowship and "apple-bobbin autumn fun."
