The Wyndham Peachtree Conference Center has opened a local account at NationsBank in Peachtree City to collect funds to aid members of the Wyndham family in Puerto Rico in the aftermath of Hurricane Georges. Donations to the "Wyndham Peachtree Conference Center Puerto Rican Hurricane Relief Fund" can be made at NationsBank through mid-November. The hotel will also collect non-perishable items, such as clothing, bottled water, canned goods, blankets baby formula, diapers, toys, camping stoves and lights and other needed items through Oct. 30. "We're concerned for our fellow Wyndham associates and their families in Puerto Rico as they rebuild their homes and lives following Hurricane Georges," said Thomas Shaver, general manager of Wyndham Peachtree Conference Center. "We are fortunate to have never experienced the destruction of a major hurricane here in Peachtree City. We appreciate the calls that we have received from our friends and neighbors and are pleased to be able to lead this important relief effort here in our community." Wyndham maintains four properties in Puerto Rico. For more information, contact the conference center at 770-486-3302. |
