The Fayette County Middle School Lady Cubs finished an extraordinary season last weekend. During their ten game long regular season, the Lady Cubs faced all the Fayette and Henry County middle schools and went undefeated.

"The competition, in some cases, was quite fierce, but these talented young ladies worked extremely hard all season and came together as one great unit," said Lady Cub Coach Denise Roth. " We ended the regular season in first place and then set our eyes on winning the tournament. I am extremely proud of each of my Lady Cub athletes."

Teams from the east and west regions faced off at the Metro Middle Softball Athletic League (MMSAL) tournament held at McCurry Park last weekend. The Lady Cubs extended their unbeaten streak as they won over Henry County, Rising Starr and Austin Road. Their combined record was 13-0 and the Lady Cubs took home the MMSAL trophy.
