Rising Starr Middle School will host their first "Evening Under the Starrs" live/silent auction fund-raiser Saturday, Nov. 7 at 7 p.m. Proceeds will go toward various equipment purchases for the new school.

Tickets are $10 per person and include dessert and beverage. Live entertainment will be provided by a local a cappella group. Tickets are available at the following locations: Canterbury's, Lizard Thicket, One Magnolia Lane, Pam's Hallmark (both Peachtree City and Fayetteville), T Buggs, and in the school office.

Donated items to be auctioned include signed sports memorabilia from local basketball star Jeff Sheppard; an hour's baseball instruction from pro baseball player Scott Fletcher; an incredible "Spa Day"; and a 27-inch color TV.
