Gospel Meeting looks at changes

The annual Gosepl Meeting at the Peachtree City Church of Christ is planned for Oct. 16-18 at the church, 201 SW. Peachtree Parkway across from Booth Middle School. The theme is "Modern Changes Affecting the Church." Dr. William Woodson of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., teacher and Bible scholar at Tennesseee colleges until his retirement in 1996, is the speaker. Gospel Meeting sessions are scheduled for Friday at 7:30 p.m, Saturday at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., and Sunday at 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. For more information call the church office at 770-487-9246.

Music Ministry concert planned

First Baptist Church of Newnan invites the community to a concert featuring Janet Paschal on Nov. 1. The event begins at 6 p.m. at the church, 15 West Washington St., one block from the square. Cornerstone plans mission event

Cornerstone Bible Church, 426 Rivers Road, Fayetteville, celebrates its 17th annual World Mission Conference Oct. 25-Nov. 1. Gary Franklin, associate pastor of Fellowship Bible Church in Roswell, will speak at two services on Oct. 25, and the Nov. 1 speaker will be Dave Hicks of Tyrone, North American director for overseas missions. Methodist Men's golf tournament

Fayetteville First United Methodist's UMM (United Methodist Men) organization will sponsor a golf tournament Oct. 24 to raise funds for sports equipment in the church's new building. 58th District Prayer Breakfast

Georgia Rep. Sharon Beasley-Teague (D-58) will sponsor a prayer breakfast Saturday Oct. 17, 8-9:30 a.m. at the Radisson Hotel, 5010 Old National Highway. Cost of the breakfast is $25, and the guest speaker will be U.S. Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney of DeKalb. Make reservations at 770-994-2977.
