This year's "Oaktoberfest" at Oak Grove Elementary School in Peachtree City, Saturday, Oct. 10, will raise funds for an organization dedicated to helping children who have cancer. Prudential Georgia Realty and its Peachtree City office will help staff a booth to sell handmade Christmas ornaments to benefit Sunshine Kids, who help children with cancer leave the hospital and enjoy healthy outdoor activities. Part of the proceeds from the decorations made by Oak Grove students also go to the school's Parent-Teacher Organization. Lynda Dunn, Peachtree City manager for Prudential Georgia Realty, says the Oaktoberfest is "a great opportunity to spend the day with the kids in support of both education and the Sunshine Kids." Oaktoberfest runs 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Oak Grove, 101 Crosstown Road. For information phone 770-487-8300.
