Organizers of the International Society's third annual International Festival Sunday in Peachtree City are promising unique food, music and fun for all ages.

Displays and exhibits from different companies and countries, along with a wide variety of international tastes at food booths, will be highlights of the celebration. A Japanese Drum Team, clog-dancers, karate demonstrations and a tug-of-war will liven up the festival, set for 12:30 to 4 p.m. at the Glenloch Soccer Field near the intersection of Ga. Highway 54 and Peachtree Parkway.

The festival also will including face-painting, a moonwalk, miniature golf, a basketball free-throw contest and a beanbag shoot. Door prizes will be given out during the day, and a crafts bazaar will be available for browsing.

Local companies such as Panasonic, TDK, Hoshizaki of America, Yamaha, Yokagawa, NACOM, NEC and Wilden are cosponsoring a display that highlights the local activities and contributions of each company.

The International Society's focus is on social and educational activities which promote understanding and a "spirit of goodwill in Georgia toward people of all nations," said Julie Gadzicki of Panasonic, one of the organizers. It also seeks to provide a forum for study and promotion of better understanding of the arts, literature, cultural ideas and aspirations of people of all nations.
