Pathway and Morrison form alliance
Pathway Communities, formerly Peachtree City
Development Corp., recently announced it has formed an alliance
with Morrison Homes.
"It's great to have an alliance with a home builder of this
character," said Elliott Stotler, Pathway vice president of sales
and marketing. "Morrison Homes' long-standing reputation in
the industry and approach to home building are a perfect match
for our customer-oriented philosophy of creating communities with
a real sense of place," he added.
Morrison Homes will be building in Ardenlee,
Crabapple Woods and The Oaks at Timber Lake in Peachtree City, as well
as in SummerGrove at Newnan.
"It's great to be a part of the Pathway Communities
builder team," said Rick Foster, project manager for Morrison's
south Atlanta developments. "Pathway Communities has a unique
understanding of land planning and development. Like
Morrison Homes, they focus their energy on creating quality living
environments, rather than just building houses."
Morrison Homes was founded in 1905 in Seattle, Wash. by
C.G. Morrison, who engaged in general real estate. In 1946,
sons Dean and Hunter Morrison joined their father in the business
and moved the company to the San Francisco Bay area, where
they focused on home building.
In 1984 the firm was acquired by British-based George
Wimpey Inc.
