A public hearing on the final documents for creating the Huddleston Road Special Sewer District will be held during the regular meeting tomorrow night of the Peachtree City Council.

The district will enable construction of sewerage into areas planned for residential development.

Also scheduled for discussion is the proposed fiscal 1999 budget for the Water and Sewer Authority. The operating budget for next year is about $2.3 million, while a $6 million capital improvement program includes funding for upgrades at the city's three wastewater treatment plants.

Larry Turner, WASA general manager, also says a $65,000 generator which would have prevented recent sewage spills into Line Creek has been ordered and will probably be installed within the next month or so. The item had been planned and budgeted, but its ordering was "accelerated" after power problems caused by storms resulted in two sewage spills this summer, Turner said.

The council agenda also includes a discussion on a "commuter bus program survey" of Peachtree City residents who are employees at Atlanta Hartsfield International Airport. The meeting is at 7 p.m. Sept. 17 at City Hall.
