Fayetteville cafe aims to entertain younger crowd
The Lil' Memphis Blues Cafe in Fayetteville has changed
its entertainment format to appeal more to the youth of the
community. According to the Cafe's management, Friday and
Saturday nights are now designated as Teen Weekends. House
disc jockey DJ Cheeze will provide a mix of Hip Hop, R&B and
Rap music.
Special shows are planned to include live performances by
local and national recording artists, radio personalities and teen
talent shows. Video games and a new lighting system of
multi-colored spinning lights, strobe lights, chaser lights, fog machines
have been added.
On the menu are burgers, fries, onion rings, snacks and soft
drinks. No alcoholic beverages will be sold and smoking is not
allowed, according to manager J.P. Beaty. "We feel that Lil' Memphis
will provide a fun and safe atmosphere in which teens, 13 years and
up, can socialize on weekends and after high school football
games," Beaty said.
The cafe can also be reserved for special meetings and
private parties. Beaty said parents are welcome to visit or sign up
as chaperones.
Operating hours are Friday and Saturday, 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Lil' Memphis Blues is located on Ga. Highway 85 in Fayetteville,
behind Mrs. Winner's.
