Letters from Our Readers

I would like to let your readers know that an upcoming fund raising event, "Back Yard Party," benefiting the Georgia Advocates for Battered Women and Children being held in Fayette County is not in any way connected with our local organization.

In addition, we do not receive any support, financial or otherwise, from this agency. That organization is in fact located in the Summerhill District of Atlanta and has no offices in our county.

I am aware that invitations and phone calls are being made for this event and that several individuals have contacted our office asking for a clarification regarding such an affiliation.

If anyone has any questions, please contact me at 770-450-1604. Thank you for this opportunity to correct any confusion that may be a result of this event held in our community.
