In a story last week about the death of Stephen Roy Roberson, 17, of Fayetteville in a single-vehicle traffic accident, the reporter erroneously described the victim as having been "consumed" in the fire that followed the wreck. The body had some burns below the waist, but was in no way "consumed" by the fire, officials said.

The Citizen apologizes for the error.
