Open letter to Fayette County citizens:

I wish to sincerely thank all those who gave so freely of their time and talents during my campaign. I want to also thank the 6,150 citizens who voted for me on July 21.

I believe you have made it clear that you desire an open, honest and hard-working Board of Commissioners which will reflect the values and goals of our community. I also believe you voted to seize control of our county's growth in order to preserve our outstanding quality of life.

Once again I promise that I will conduct the county's business with absolute integrity and that I will never act in such a manner as to cause you to distrust your government.

I look forward to meeting all of you and working for you in the future. Please keep in mind that I will once again need your vote on Nov. 3, 1998.
