Bad Links? | Hollywood comes to townBy JOHN THOMPSON The stars are shining brightly in Senoia again. The city that was featured in such movies as Fried Green Tomatoes, Pet Semetary 2 and Fighting Temptations rolled out the red carpet again this week for the filming of Angel from Montgomery. According to movies.monstersandcritics.com, the TV movie revolves around a Miami newscaster who takes her rebellious teen daughter, Dixie, back home to rural Tennessee after the newscasters brother is killed. Senoia Mayor Bob Hannah visited the set this week and said hes glad to see the movie business back in town. We always like to see Senoia shown off and theyre scheduled here through Oct. 19, he said. The movie is being filmed at one of Senoias historic bed and breakfast, the Verandah. Hannah said numerous residents have walked by the set to watch the filming. Hannah met the stars Wednesday and said a photo will be placed in City Hall to commemorate the occasion. He also said City Administrator Richard Ferry is working on getting some funds from the production company to help beautify the city. Its really not about the money.
