Bad Links? | German American Chamber Celebrates 10th Anniversary GalaThe German American Chamber of the Southern United States (GACC South) welcomed a 20-member business delegation from the German Federal State of Niedersachsen to the chambers 10th Anniversary Gala on Saturday, Oct. 1, at the Westin Buckhead Hotel in Atlanta. Walter Hirche, Niedersachsens minister for economics, labour and transport, led the delegation attending the gala. Niedersachsen was the featured partner at this years gala. Hirche and GACC South President and CEO Kristian Wolf, who is originally from Niedersachsen, welcomed guests to the gala. Activities included a VIP reception for business delegates and gala sponsors, a reception for gala guests and a silent auction followed by dinner and dancing to the Big Band Sound of the George Carere Orchestra. Michael Boyer, the Pied Piper of Hameln, entertained during the receptions and led guests into dinner. There were 450 in attendance. Part of the evenings proceeds will be given to Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta and the German Solidarity Fund for Hurricane Katrina relief in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.
