Bad Links? | Verlo store still going strong in Peachtree CityWhen Jeff Koldoff left his position as the first Verlo Mattress Factory Stores full-time employee in Libertyville, Ill., he didnt originally intend on bringing a great nights sleep to the residents of Peachtree City. But when life brought him into Georgia, he wound up bringing a piece of Verlo with him. Since July of 1989 Koldoff has owned and operated the Peachtree City Verlo Mattress Factory Store at 400 Huddleston Road in the Peachtree City Industrial Park. Faced with the challenge of being situated in a low-traffic retail area, Koldoff and his wife, Debbie, rely on word of mouth referrals and repeat customers to keep their close rate high. Koldoff credits his success to the technological sales tools provided to franchisees by Verlo such as online 24/7 access to their sales, traffic, close rate and system wide productivity. This allows Jeff to check in at anytime and see how he is doing, how Verlo is doing, and how his location is doing in comparison to the others. One very unique thing about Verlo that sets the mattress retailer apart from the competition is the craftsmanship behind each mattress they make. Often times the sales person from whom customers have purchased a mattress is the same craftsman who is manufacturing that mattress. This makes for a truly customized sleep experience that brings customers back again and again. In fact, so many customers want to replace their Verlo mattress with another Verlo mattress that the Whitewater, Wisc.-based company has grown to 73 locations, operated by 33 franchisees, in 11 states. And Verlo is planning to add 12 additional franchisees in 2005, while maintaining that growth well into 2007. In the Atlanta market, Verlo hopes to open an additional 17 stores to accommodate the growing metropolitan area. |
