Brownie’s collecting teddy bears

During the month of September, Brownie Girl Scout Troop 176 is collecting teddy bears or other stuffed toys to donate to the Tyrone police stations and fire houses for the children in the community. When children are involved in car accidents, fires or other emergencies, they can’t always understand what is happening, and sometimes, when a child needs comfort the most, a teddy bear is just the thing. Please bring a gently loved or new stuffed toy to one of the following four local businesses which have enlisted to serve as drop off locations: A Moment in Time Scrapbooking (602 Dogwood Trail), Sarah & Friends Consignment/Twigs (837 Senoia Road), Eagle Signs (1126 Senoia Road), or Century 21 Scarbrough Properties (179 Handley Road). We will also be collecting bears at the Tyrone Founders Day Parade this September 17 so watch for our float. As the Brownies pass out candy, the adults will be collecting the bears.
