Bad Links? | NNLC names Sept. award winnerThe Peachtree City Chapter of the New Neighbors League Club awarded Bethanie Smithley with the New Neighbor of the Month award for September. Bethanie is a social butterfly with a heart of gold, according to a club spokesperson. She lights up a room whenever she enters it. She moved here from Virginia rather unexpectedly two years ago and started off being our corresponding secretary. She then became social chairperson and organized the highly successful Mardi Gras Ball. For July 4th parade, Bethanie, her husband, and one of her sons dressed in Colonial attire that she had made and carried a 1776 flag, leading the clubs second-place Moving to America, Moving to Peachtree City perocession. She is also involved with the Boy Scouts with her two sons. Currently she is serving as president. Her goal has been for the club members to have fun at their monthly meetings. NNLC's purpose is to bring together newcomers to the area so that they may meet and become friends while adjusting to new surroundings. It is a not-for-profit social organization that has a wide variety of special interest groups.
