Bad Links? | Blood donations neededSeveral blood drives for the American Red Cross are planned for the Fayette area, and donors are needed to avoid critical shortages, officials said. A blood drive will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church at 101 Walt Banks Road, just off Ga. Highway 54 East in Peachtree City Wednesday, Sept. 14, from 1-6 p.m. Another drive is scheduled for the Gathering Place senior citizens center on McIntosh Trail in Peachtree City Friday, Sept. 16, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church, located at the intersection of Ga. Highway 54 and Peachtree Parkway, will host another blood drive Thursday, Sept. 22, from 2:30-7:30 p.m. Fayetteville First United Methodist Church, at 170 East Lanier Ave., will hold another blood drive Sunday, Oct. 2, from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Donors can register for an appointment time at www.givebloodredcross.org/rc/donate.donate_now.asp, or call 1-800-GIVE-LIFE. |
