She was born Nov. 11, 1914 in Roan County, Tenn., the daughter of George Thomas and Martha Ann Bromett McElroy. She was preceded in death by her husband, W. L. Branham Sr., and a son, W. L. Branham Jr. Her working career was as a seamstress and her grandchildren benefited greatly from her skills. Services were at the McKoon Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Paul Stitcher and Danny Wilson officiating. Interment was at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Newnan. Survivors include her daughter, Lucille Nix Bowman, Mableton; a daughter-in-law, Margie Branham, Murphy, N. C.; grandchildren, Ricky Branham, Deborah Henry, Cynthia Nix, Rusty Branham, Robert Branham, Ben Nix, Britt Nix, James Nix, and Renée Roland; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. McKoon Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge. Malcolm Daniel StephensMalcolm Daniel Dyke Stephens, 89, Newnan, died Aug. 29, 2005. He was born Aug. 17, 1916 in Heard County. He was owner and operator of Stephens General Store located on Corinth Road, Coweta County, for 27 years. He retired in 1985. He served as a Coweta County commissioner in the 1980s. He was a member and a Sunday School teacher at Unity Baptist Church for 32 years. Services were at the McKoon Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Danny Wilson officiating. Interment was at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Newnan. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Imogene Hawk Stephens; a son, Ronald and Carol Stephens; daughters, Carolyn and Joel Neill, and Brenda and Bill Moulder; grandchildren, Scott Neill, Steve Neill, Danny Stephens, Bonnie Stephens, and Brian Moulder; and great-grandchildren, Aric Stephens, Alex Stephens, and Mallory Neill. McKoon Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge. William C. SmithWilliam C. Bill Smith, 82, Senoia, died Aug. 29, 2005. He was born Dec. 4, 1922 in Griffin, Ga., son of Clarence and Jean Williams Smith. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Navy in the South Pacific and Korean War. While in the Navy he was stationed at the United States Naval Academy, Annapolis, Md. He attended Ole Miss before serving in the Navy and completed his education at Georgia Tech with a degree in Chemical Engineering. Services were at the First Baptist Church of Senoia with the Rev. Dr. Ted Padgett officiating. Interment was at the Senoia City Cemetery. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Joyce Cleveland Smith, Senoia; daughters, Nerine Smith, and Debbie and Billy James, all of Savannah; and Dodie Hamrick, Alpharetta; a sister, Mary Jean and Harry Turner, Hattiesburg, Miss.; and grandchildren, James Hamrick, Chase Hamrick, and Clay James. Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Senoia, 41 Johnson St., Senoia, GA 30276. McKoon Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge.?
