Bad Links? | World Airways to expand MD-11 cargo fleetWorld Airways, a wholly owned subsidiary of World Air Holdings, Inc., will convert one MD-11 passenger aircraft to cargo configuration in 2006, bringing the company's cargo fleet to six MD-11Fs and two DC-10-30Fs. "The addition of this MD-11F to our fleet will allow World Airways to provide more capacity for our cargo customers while continuing our revenue diversification plans," said Rob Binns, World Air Holdings chief marketing officer. The aircraft is expected to enter conversion in the spring of 2006, and would be available for service in the fall. World will have a seven-year lease for the aircraft. World Airways, a wholly owned subsidiary of World Air Holdings, Inc., is a U.S.-certificated air carrier providing customized transportation services for major international cargo and passenger carriers, the United States military, international freight forwarders and international leisure tour operators.
