Bad Links? | Braves rookie signs autographs in Fayetteville By CAROLYN CARY Pete Orr, rookie second baseman for the Atlanta Braves, autographed baseballs in Fayetteville Saturday evening. He arrived just one and a half hours after the Braves completed a 13-inning game with a 7-2 loss for the home team. The 26 year-old was born and reared in Richmond Hill, Ontario, just outside Toronto. Sports Cards & Collectibles owner, Steve Chafradon, hosted the event. Chafradon has been in the business here for several years. Orr currently holds a .302 batting average, with one homerun, and seven runs batted in. He has crossed the plate 27 times and has five stolen bases to his credit. Besides the game last Sunday against San Diego, Orr had five at bats on August 13, against Arizona, producing a run and two hits, and a stolen base. |
