Mr. and Mrs. Bill and Martha Trisler of Tyrone announce the engagement of their daughter, Elise Jacqueline, to Matthew Scott Wilson, of Pace, Fla., son of Mr. and Mrs. Scott and Nancy Wilson.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Bill and Jackie Trisler of Crossville, Tenn. and Ward and Betty Broadfield of Fredericksburg, Va. She is a 2001 graduate of Sandy Creek High School and a 2005 graduate of Berry College in Rome with a B.S. in accounting. She is employed as an auditor with Deloitte & Touche in Atlanta.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Ruth Wilson and the late Lucius Wilson of Milton, Fla. and Mrs. Rose Pinke and the late James Pinke of Milton, Fla. He is a 2001 graduate of Pace High School. He is currently enrolled at Georgia Tech pursuing a B.S. in mechanical engineering.
The wedding will be Saturday, December 31, 2005. After a honeymoon in Jamaica, the couple will reside in Atlanta.
Shular-Coddington
Yvonne and Kurt Shular of Peachtree City announce the marriage of their daughter, Cassandra Frances Shular, to Luke Teichert Coddington, son of Nadine and David Teichert-Coddington of Demopolis, Ala. The wedding was July 10, 2005, at Dunaway Gardens in Newnan. The Rev. Betsy Haas officiated.
Given in marriage by her parents, the bride chose her sister, Jennifer Shular, as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Noor Jarun, Eva Massmann, Shaena Peter and Katie Smith.
The groom chose his father as best man. Groomsmen were James Bence, Ben Brackett, Matt Carvin, Jonathan Coddington, Lucas Johnson, Kendall Marksman and Justin Poucher.
The bride is the granddaughter of Jackie and Dean Shular of Newnan and Linda and Mike Albete of Pukalani, Hawaii. She is a 2000 graduate of Starrs Mill High School and a 2004 graduate of Mercer University where she received a bachelor of arts degree in psychology and English. She currently is pursuing a Ph.D. degree in human development and educational psychology at the University of Maryland.
The groom is a 1999 graduate of Auburn High School and a 2003 graduate of Mercer University where he received a bachelor of science degree in biology, with minors in computer science and chemistry. He currently is employed with NovaScreen in Hanover, Md., where he conducts pharmaceutical research.
The couple honeymooned in North Georgia and now reside in Baltimore, Md.
Iturbe-Amerson
Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Iturbe of Fayetteville announce the upcoming marriage of their daughter, Michelle Lynne Iturbe, to 2nd Lt. Robert Greg Amerson Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Greg Amerson Sr., also of Fayetteville.
The bride-to-be is a 2000 graduate of Fayette County High School and a 2004 graduate of Georgia State University where she received an honors degree in biology with a minor in chemistry. Following the wedding, she will continue her education at George Washington University in Washington, D.C., entering the masters program in forensic science and molecular biology.
The groom-elect is a 2000 graduate of Fayette County High School and a 2005 graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology where he received a degree in bimolecular and chemical engineering. He is an officer with the United States Marine Corps.
The wedding will be Saturday, Aug. 20, 2005, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, with a reception following at the Palmer Course at Starrs Mill.
After a honeymoon in Belize, the couple will reside in Centreville, Va.
Born anniversary
Julius James (Jim) and Olga Maureen Webster Born of Peachtree City will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 10, 2005. Mr. and Mrs. Born were married in the old Methodist church in Auburn, Ala. while they were attending Auburn University. The Rev. Joel McDavid performed the ceremony.
Mr. Born, a 1957 Auburn University graduate, is a native of Atlanta and Mrs. Born is a native of Tallassee, Ala. They have resided in Peachtree City for 21 years.
Mr. and Mrs. Born have three children, Susan, Steven and Mark, and three grandchildren, Shelly, Corey and Shane.
They will celebrate their anniversary with an extended trip to eastern Canada and Maine in the fall.
