How much will YOUR tax bill be?

To give an idea about how much your tax bill will be this year, the following is a breakdown of the TOTAL property tax bill for homes valued at $150,000, $200,000 and $300,000.

Fayetteville, Tyrone and the Fayette County Board of Education, by not rolling back their tax rates, have already voted for property tax hikes, and Peachtree City is expected to do so in the near future.

Only the Fayette County Board of Commissioners has voted to roll back the millage rate to stave off the property tax hike due to reassessments.

Peachtree City (city/county/school)
$150,000 home: $316.98 + $389.25 + $1,296.30 = $2,002.53
$200,000 home: $422.64 + $554.89 + $1,743.30 = $2,720.83
$300,000 home: $633.96 + $886.17 + $2,637.30 = $4,157.43

Fayetteville (city/county/school)
$150,000 home: $181.98 + $389.25 + $1,296.30 = $1,867.53
$200,000 home: $242.64 + $554.89 + $1,743.30 = $2,540.83
$300,000 home: $363.96 + $886.17 + $2,637.30 = $3,887.43

Tyrone (city/county/school)
$150,000 home: $174 + $389.25 + $1,296.30 = $1,859.55
$200,000 home: $232 + $554.89 + $1,743.30 = $2,530.19
$300,000 home: $348 + $886.17 + $2,637.30 = $3,871.47

Fayette County (county/school)
$150,000 home: $389.25 + $1,296.30 = $1,685.55
$200,000 home: $554.89 + $1,743.30 = $2,298.09
$300,000 home: $886.17 + $2,637.30 = $3,523.47

The above does not include fire district taxes. In the unincorporated county, individual fire districts also add a tax rate to the above numbers for providing fire/rescue services.
