Panther Prowl set for Aug. 19

The Starr’s Mill Touchdown Club will sponsor the second annual Panther Prowl 5K/Fun Run on Friday, Aug. 19.

This event will kick-off the football team’s Saturday appearance at the Dome where they will take on McEachern High School. The 5K will start and finish in the school’s stadium while the majority of the walk/run will be held on the beautiful South Campus.

The winners of the different categories will be awarded plaques.

Due to the overwhelming success and positive comments from last year, this year’s race will hopefully prove to be even larger than last year’s race with its 175 participants.

“The Panther Prowl was a great kickoff to our season. What a great idea to involve everyone in such a worthwhile event,” said Coach Mike Earwood.

“It was a huge success and I look for it to get bigger and better with time.”

Event coordinators need your help in making this year’s race even more successful than last year’s race.
