She was a foster mother to over 50 children, and loved to collect anything Mickey Mouse or Beanie Babies. She also enjoyed bowling. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Newnan. Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Emory Phillips, Gay; a son, Randy and Cathy Phillips, Senoia; daughters, Cheri Phillips, Gay, and Charlyn and Gary Shepherd, Sharpsburg; and grandchildren, Derek, Matt, Gaelyn, and Kevin. Bob Sparrow officiating. Interment was at Flat Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Fayetteville. Survivors include her children, Shirley Thomas, Newnan, and Wayne Thomas, Harold Thomas, Marlene Askew, and Edgar Thomas, all of Fayetteville; grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren; and siblings, Clarence Hall, Fayetteville, Elsie Mae Roberts, Griffin, and Floyd Hall, High Falls, Ga. Howard Bryson PorterHoward Bryson Porter, 79, Senoia, died July 28, 2005. He was a veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by a son, Jon. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with Pastor Bob Easton, and Pastor Glenn Roundtree officiating. Interment was at Green lawn Cemetery, Roswell. Survivors include his wife, Lee M. Porter, Senoia; children, Michael Wayne and Kim Porter, Pearl and Mike Brown, Gail and Mark Rawlings, and Alice and Eric Hertell; stepchildren, William and Rose West, Brenda and Denis Paquin, Deborah and Clifton Summerall, Rhonda and Bob Reed, and Marketa West; a daughter-in-law, Pat Porter; 17 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Hugh Porter, and Everett Porter; and a sister, Jean Estes. Helen Theresa EstokHelen Theresa Estok, 88, Fairburn, died July 29, 2005. She was born March 5, 1917 in Scranton, Pa. Graveside services were at Saint Gertrudes Cemetery, Colonia, N. J. Survivors include a son, Michel and Dorothy Estok, Camp Hill, Pa.; a daughter, Jane Estok, Fairburn; sisters, Genevieve Miller, Hillsborough, N.J., and Wanda Orenick, Bridgewater, N. J.; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one great-great-grandchild. Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn, was in charge.
