PTC McDonald’s to reopen

The McDonald’s restaurant in the Peachtree Crossings shopping center was closed Sunday afternoon after a fire broke out in a fry cooker, officials said.

The restaurant was expected to reopen for lunch today, according to Peachtree City Building Official Tom Carty.

The fire was limited to the device itself, Carty said. The city’s fire marshal and the county health department have already inspected the restaurant, he added.

No one was hurt in the fire, which was reported around 2 p.m. Sunday, Carty said.
