Survivors include his wife, Joyce Smith, Peachtree City; daughters, Kim and Todd Dieckhoner, Birmingham, Ala., Stacy and Jerry Lowell, Newnan, and Britney Smith, Peachtree City; a brother, Robert E. Gene Smith, Peachtree City; a sister, Patricia Gail Slaton, Sharpsburg; and three grandchildren. Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn, was in charge. Linda Elliott McGahaLinda Elliott McGaha, 60, Newnan, died July 12, 2005. She had worked for the Trust Company Bank of Atlanta from 1961 to 1971. She retired after 22 years of service from NCR Corporation, Peachtree City. Services were at the Mowell Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Royeese Stowe officiating. Interment was at the Elliott Cemetery in McDonough. Survivors include a son, Walter S. McGaha, Quantico, Va.; a daughter, Collin and Bo Storey, Newnan; grandchildren, Emily Rae, Cole and Olivia Storey; former husband, Gary McGaha, Fayetteville; brothers, Moody and Patsy Elliott, Fayetteville, and Don A. and Lynn Elliott, Corinth, Miss.; nephews, Andy Elliott and Erin Elliott, Mark Elliott, and Chris and Batina Elliott. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge. Charles S. Charlie Boy CochranCharles S. Charlie Boy Cochran, 58, Fayetteville, died July 14, 2005. He was born Sept. 28, 1946 in Fayette County. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Carolyn Cochran, and a brother, Mike Cochran. He loved music, especially Southern rock and roll, and enjoyed watching movies. Graveside services were at Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, Sharpsburg. Survivors include a nephew, Michael Cochran, Fayetteville. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge. Dorothy W. ChapmanDorothy W. Chapman, 60, Senoia, died July 15, 2005. She was born May 21, 1945 in Bartow County, Ga. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with interment at Senoia City Cemetery. Survivors include her children, McCall and Julie Ann Chapman Jr., Peachtree City, Dean and Julie Lynn Chapman, McDonough, Ga., and Rocky Chapman, Phoenix, Ariz.; seven grandchildren; her mother, Martha Wilkey, Senoia; brothers, Jack Wilkey, Palm Springs, Calif., and Wayne Wilkey, Senoia; sisters, Maggie Loudermilk, Griffin, Sarah Bishop, and Lee Whitfield, both of Senoia, and Opal Bivins, Woolsey, Ga. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge. George SchimmelGeorge Schimmel, 69,, Newnan, died July 18, 2005. He was born Oct. 20, 1935 in Evansville, Ind. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was an avid bowler and a member of the Seniors League in Newnan. Services were at Christs Church at Whitewater with Pastor Michael Plank officiating. Interment was at Alexandria Memorial Park, Evansville, Ind. Survivors include sons, Kevin Schimmel, and Brian and Kate Schimmel, all of Savannah; a daughter, Patricia and Joe Burks, Senoia; and grandchildren, Joseph, Carrie, and Nicole Burks, and Jason and Jacob Schimmel.
